/ The Wanton Bishops
DRM - Democratic Republic of Music / 06.10 / 22:00
A new, justifiably hyped two-piece band from Beirut playing raw blues-infused kind of indie rock.
The band is made up of Nader (vocals, harmonica, guitar, keyboards) and Eddy (guitar, backing vocals, banjo), who are joined on stage and in the studio by hired musical guns (also known as session musicians).
Finding common ground between swamp blues and rock riffs, between acoustic and electric sounds, between indie rock and the blues, that’s where the Wanton Bishops have found their voice, and that's where they're at their best.
Their first LP is due to be released in December 2012.
